An aerial photo taken on Oct. 6, 2016 shows a high-speed railway on the Tunli Super Large Bridge in Nanning, capital of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. China's high-speed railways now exceed 20,000 km in length. (Xinhua/Huang Xiaobang)

How does China find money to finance HSR construction? I have heard it is on debt.

Did you just answer your own question, why asking?
Or, you have zero knowledge about debt-financing?

China gets money from doing trade with other nations and now gets enough money to buy everything around the world, You can see Chinese takeover of foreign companies on daily basis.

Wrong. What you said is a fact in its own, but irrelevant here on HSR financing.

Domestic HSR is financed by domestic credit from financial institutions (e.g. RMB loans from commercial banks, RMB-denominated funds), NOT financed by external position (NIIP, 净国际投资头寸), please get your facts right.

Regarding China Railway Company, now debt/asset ratio is 64%, net asset RMB +2.3 trillion, it's well managed.

For your learning:

If it is indeed through debt, how does China plan to pay back the debt? Most of the HSR lines aren't even operationally profitable, leave alone net profitable.
