You were just about to earn my trust when you start saying you are a MIDDLE LEVEL OFFICER. Gr8, just gr8 Mr. GARY. Now I really suspect what the others are saying, you are just a Viet refugee in HK who migrated to Australia. Understood Cantonese and spoke some Mandarin. No wonder you have no feeling when Mr. Hindu drone just said your country had Japanese and American daddies. There goes my neutral view about you.
umm, I don't know what the hell were you saying.
I was ranked Captain (O-3) in the US military, so what's wrong by calling myself a "Middle-Level" Officer? I am not a Junior Officer like a 2LT or LT and I am not a Senior Officer like a LTC or COL. Do tell me what should I call myself when I reach a rank of Captain in my 7 and a half years of Military Service? You have national service in Singapore, right? What do you call the Captains in your Army? Should I say Senior Junior officer in the Army?
As I said, being a middle level officers, literally nobody respect me, people below me think I am a try hard, try to push myself up the ladder by kissing butt, people above me think I am just a junior kid on the block trying to play big boy game. Hence insult hurl around like passing candy during Christmas. And to be honest, couple with my ethnicity, I have been called a chink, a dink, a slope, a greaseball, a yak, a horn. You name one racist slur you know, people had probably called me for it, either say it straight to my face or behind my back, so as I said, it's not a big deal people here call me "Viet Boat People" I am not pissed nor mind people call me that.
As I said, I don't have to prove to you, what ever you want to believe, you can go ahead and believe it. I am fine with that.
