@RIMPAC:

Have a prosperous and happy Year of the Snake!

It's good that the film industry in China is growing and that people are looking at more domestic films. :yahoo:

This movie"《西遊·降魔篇》(Journey to the West): Conquering the Demons" was debuted during the Spring Festival. It is a comedy+ mythical+fictitious drama combo based on the framework of the great classic novel "Journey to the west". It is grossing towards ¥0.7 billion on the 9th position now in the all time box office China:

Only Hongkong's film industry, miles to go for mainland's film industry.

Only Hongkong's film industry, miles to go for mainland's film industry.

Hong Kong produces a lot of softcore **** movies and it is more connected to the English speaking world.

But no, it cannot compare to the Mainland film industry, no matter it is the influencial market or the technology.

Only Hongkong's film industry, miles to go for mainland's film industry.

HongKong entertainment industry has no future. I myself am not even interested in HongKong movies or TV dramas. Taiwan is even better than HongKong.

I used to be a huge fan of HK movies but stopped watching them a couple of years ago when the industry was in a huge decline. But I heard Mainland Chinese movies are on the rise.

Its may be quite difficult for you to determine which movies are from China or Hong Kong or Taiwan. Most movies are now filmed in China with actors and actress from Taiwan, China and Hong Kong. The movies are maybe edited in Hong Kong with Special effects and sounds maybe done in US studios. Directors could be from Hong Kong. Its a worldwide production.

But China now has the largest Movie studio in the world. Its in Heng Dian. I was there.

ANYONE that hates the government (CPC) that ended western and Japanese imperialism, defeated many countries in war, should be considered a traitor.
The fact that bums like you can even talk about an entertainment industry for China is due to the hard work done by the CPC by giving political independence, foreign policy independence, economic growth, nuclear weapons, space program, etc.
Without the communist party, China would still be a western puppet like the KMT was. Real freedom is to run an independent country, independent foreign policy. Just ask South Korea and Japan that need to get the permission from their Yankee masters to get their missile range extended.
Yea they have Gangnam Style, but they are both under colonial rule.

CPC official getting emotional ! !

You are naive and stereotyped!

The line of differntiating the 2 area's production is minimal. Overwhelming majority of top box office in China are produced by Mainland directors.

HK film industry cannot stand alone making much profits without the Mainland support.

HK itself is a small market. They have produced many cr@p movies, albeit very few good ones. The opening up of the Mainland's facilities in set locations, props, animation, post-filiming productions and a huge distribution and screen network provide a fresh and vibrant bloodline to both the HK and perhaps Taiwanese movie industries.

Was it Zhao Wei on mask? I have seen her movie before. Very good actress. By the way quality of production is much better than big mouth folks can ever produce. Keep on going, friends.

Yes it was Zhao Wei in the middle of this poster!
