CNN article so bear in mind the motives of this article, e.g. just look at this nonsense:

"The leaders of Pakistan and Malaysia have opted to attend the forum again, despite growing concerns in both countries over the cost and debt burden of Chinese-backed investments."

PM Imran Khan nor the Pakistani government now or in past has ever raised such concerns.

CNN also claims that Sri Lanka and UK stayed away when in fact, both nations had ministers and diplomats attending the forum.

Overall, it's a very negative article, something the Indian readers would relish while they watch BRI infrastructure build up before their eyes.

China just likes to make money together, couples of countries choosing to stay out can only harm their own business interests, it's foolish to believe that they can hurt China the least.
