He revealed that CCA has now formed new associations like Shanghai Cricket Association, She-Pin Cricket Association and Jannan Cricket Association to promote expend the game in their country.
He said interest of the game was on rise after China women team missed a a bronze medal and finished fourth in the Incheon Asian Games held in Korea last year.
Rashid, however, admitted that progress of cricket in countries like Hong Kong, Thailand was faster because ad compared to China as they allowed players from India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka in their ranks.
“China will be cricket force within a decade time,” he remarked.
Rashid Khan said CCA was very happy with the return of international cricket to Pakistan with the visit of Zimbabwe- the first Test nation to tour Pakistan in six year after attack on the Sri Lankan team in Lahore.
“It was very positive message for Pakistan Cricket and we more see more team visiting our country next year,” he said.
He said Zimbabwe team tour also removed much trumpeted security barrier.
Rashid Khan during his last visit PCB Chairman Shaharyar Muhammad Khan instructed to arrange a tour of Chinese men and women team to Pakistan.
“I will be briefing Chinese cricket officials about the Zimbabwe tour and extend them visit to Pakistan on behalf of PCB, he said.
“It would be utmost effort to attract Chinese men and women team tour Pakistan next year,” he said.
Commenting in Chinese team future plans, he said their men team will be taking part in 4-nation Twenty20 event in Incheon, Korea in September held under the auspices of Korean Cricket Association. Hong Kong and Japan will also be taking part in the event. Afterwards, he said China women team will be featuring in the ICC World T20 to be held in Thailand.
