Oh believe me, my area is being swamped by Indians and I would much rather have the Chinese over the Indians.
Problem is that the Chinese have all the money and are buying up all the properties.

China is acting like a person who holds a gun against his head and threatens others to do his bidding. This is not only counter-productive, but also outright stupud.

Same here in Australia. Lucky country is not so lucky for young professionals who just need a roof over their head. However the Australian government is thinking about introducing a $50,000 grant to first home buyers. It is not much when the average house prices are $1m, but it is still better than nothing.

Here is a hope that Chinese do what they have threatened and stop buying properties in Australia, which could make house prices affordable again.

Canada pushed over by usa. Now forced to balance between China and usa.

It was bad judgment of liberals to fall in to usa trap. Good lesson for future. That is why liberals not barking like Australia against China now and trying to minimize the damage already done. Even though usa keep pressure Canada to pick a side against china on covid drama.

Canada need Chinese investors and also market access for two of the biggest exports. Agriculture and energy. Both catagory usa has surplus and Canada need to diversity.
