To be fair to Indians, these low lives are between rock and hard place. Maldives is stone throw distance from American strategic base of Deigo Garcia. Whoever got presence in Maldives can easily keep an eye on this American base and Indian ocean in general. Yanks as usual don't want to be seen and moving their pawn to face the music. Just like Doklam fizzled out, this will as well end in similar fashion, with more "justified" Chinese presence, invited by the government of Maldives, which might not have been the case before this situation.
