I dont see how that will works. Chinese does that after seeing Vietnam get more closer to U.S. so they tried a new strategy. But really what China do have to offer to Vietnam? Economic assistance I dont think any better than U.S. and Japan offer, beside there is dispute going on while China will not back down neither Vietnam do. As usual will not work.

Vietnam is an irrelevant country with a tiny economy, no resources, no technology, insignificant market, no weapons, no political power.

Only thing China wants from Vietnam is Vietnamese girls to marry the single Chinese guys due to the gender imbalance in China.

Apart from that, Vietnam is utterly irrelevant in this world.

China tops list of Viet Nam trade partners - Economy - VietNam News

Without China export. Most vietnamese industries cant be competitive and move on. US, Japan and Europe products are simply too expensive for a high growth, developing countries like vietnam.

They badly need to import value for money Chinese product to maintain that growth. Its a fact, Vietnamese economy heavily depend on made in China to survive.

You can try distort facts and misled reader with your nationalistic mind but that will never change the fact Vietnam cannot escape from mighty China economic. VCP needs to continue balance or even submit to China if they want to continue their economic growth.

Wondering why you can't held anti- China protest in vietnam?
