China, Vietnam pledge to further promote military tie

Chinese Defense Minister Liang Guanglie on Thursday pledged to boost military ties with Vietnam when meeting his Vietnamese counterpart Phung Quang Thanh.

Liang said bilateral military cooperation was a major component of China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

He called on the two sides to promote sustained, healthy and stable development of bilateral military ties in line with the spirit of enhancing communication, mutual trust and cooperation, which was in the interests of the two peoples and the China-Vietnam friendship.

Thanh said the Vietnam-China relationship was the most important bilateral relationship for Vietnam.

Vietnam attached great importance to friendly cooperation with the Chinese armed forces, and was ready to make joint efforts with China to further promote the military ties, he said.

Thanh, on behalf of the Vietnamese government, sent Liang a letter of condolence and $30,000 in a cash donation for areas affected by the 7.1-magnitude earthquake in northwest China's Qinghai Province.

well,it's always good thing to enhance communication with any country ,but i doubt even 60 kios can change china's stance on paracel islands.how many Kios do palestinian have?

i would say probably but it doesnt change the situation much for them especially sence china has had kilos for ten years longer thus can better simulate their kilos in any situation.

But, govt to govt contact can be fully realized if people to people contact takes place.

Chinese young generation should take the initiative to convince the Vietnamese that they are also Chinese by origin and they belong to Mother China. Their roots are in Mother China, though they are culturally different. Their destinies merge with that of the rest of Chinese and the only hope for Vietnamese is to merge with Mother China.

Vietnamese must be remembered that China saved Vietnam during the US invasion. The brotherly war between China and Vietnam was caused by Russians who actually wanted to play their divide and rule game and steal Asian lands .

Matrimonial relations between two peoples will set up an unbreakable relation. The relationship between China and Vietnam should be like a powerful husband and a faithful wife. But again, people should play the vital role here.

How did the Russians cause a brotherly war between China and Vietnam? And why did China encourage the "Russian game" by attacking Vietnam?
