It seems that Chinese posters here don't know that their government promised to never use nukes to anyone first under any circumstances.

So I post China's official promise here for educational purpose.

Given on 5 April 1995

For the purpose of enhancing international peace, security
and stability and facilitating the realization of the goal of
complete prohibition and thorough destruction of nuclear
weapons, China hereby declares its position on security
assurances as follows:

1. China undertakes not to be the first to use nuclear
weapons at any time or under any circumstances.

2. China undertakes not to use or threaten to use nuclear
weapons against non-nuclear-weapon States or
nuclear-weapon-free zones at any time or under any
circumstances. This commitment naturally applies to
non-nuclear-weapon States parties to the Treaty on the
Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons or
non-nuclear-weapon States that have entered into any
comparable internationally-binding commitment not
to manufacture or acquire nuclear explosive devices.

3. China has always held that, pending the complete
prohibition and thorough destruction of nuclear
weapons, all nuclear-weapon States should undertake
not to be the first to use nuclear weapons and not to use
or threaten to use such weapons against
non-nuclear-weapon States and nuclear-weapon-free
zones at any time or under any circumstances. China
strongly calls for the early conclusion of an
international convention on no-first-use of nuclear
weapons as well as an international legal instrument
assuring the non-nuclear-weapon States and
nuclear-weapon-free zones against the use or threat of
use of nuclear weapons.

4. China, as a permanent member of the Security Council
of the United Nations, undertakes to take action within
the Council to ensure that the Council takes
appropriate measures to provide, in accordance with
the Charter of the United Nations, necessary assistance
to any non-nuclear-weapon State that comes under
attack with nuclear weapons, and imposes strict and
effective sanctions on the attacking State. This
commitment naturally applies to any
non-nuclear-weapon State party to the Treaty on the
Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons or any
non-nuclear weapon State that has entered into any
comparable internationally-binding commitment not
to manufacture or acquire nuclear explosive devices,
in the event of an aggression with nuclear weapons or
the threat of such aggression against such State.

5. The positive security assurance provided by China, as
contained in paragraph 4, does not in any way
compromise China’s position as contained in
paragraph 3 and shall not in any way be construed as
endorsing the use of nuclear weapons

The US had used nuclear weapons to Japanese first. So it's OKey if we fire one or two.

And we can treat South Korea as an honorable nuclear country. So Problem solved.

That was before the NPT.

Chinese government promised to never to use nuke first against a nuclear state too. It is notable that China was the only nuclear state to promise that they would not use nukes against another nuclear state under any circumstance, and only the US has followed the suit under Barack Obama recently.

So are you scared? Why post the old fashioned no first use staff here?

To educate the ignorant Chinese posters who don't know much about their own country.

Of course no one fears Chinese nukes thanks to 1. Chinese negative security assurance and 2. US nuclear umbrella guarantee. But Chinese posters here speak of something China doesn't have; the ability to use nukes in its conflict with neighbors.

As if you had the nuclear weapons. Not until recently you don't the military command on your own troops on your own soil.
With all the US weapons, you still don't have the gut to protect yourself but chickened behind the US.

It is understandable why there is American military presence in Japan, but to have it in South Korea? Now that explains how tough and capable they really are

You can dream of uniting with your northern brothers, but not unless one particular country say so."Dream on kid!"
