BEIJING, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- China and the U.S. began negotiations on a bilateral investment treaty (BIT) on Wednesday, the 22nd round of such talks, according to the Ministry of Commerce (MOC).
"In accordance with the important consensus reached by leaders of the two countries, the two sides will vigorously advance the BIT negotiations and speed up the process to reach a high-level and mutually beneficial deal," said a brief MOC statement.
The negotiations are being held in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province.
