well i am not at all defensive, i am sad to belong to a country where around 300 million are poor . so i am unlike others , as i have seen poverty firsthand as a doctor who served in rural populace. and about minorities still they are better than many nation in the Indian subcontinent barring may be your country .There no pointing fingers here.. It's a open discussion.. Try not to be overly defensive like most other Indian posters here when India comes in to spotlight..
now tamil nadu cannot exert itself over the decisions in New Delhi just bcoz delhi wont listen . we cannot handover our foreign relation to chennai , so dont bother . well time heals everything and it will too heal. What was stated were genuine fears and general thoughts of the people.. Tamil Nadu was not a country in the 70's and 80's either but that didnt prevent it from wrecking havoc in the island for over 30 years.. Yeas the Central Govt's policies have changed a lot since the days of Indira doctrine.. But fears and apprehension remain,, Especially since tht hate and attrition towards Sri Lanka remains in the political circles in Tamil Nadu and bought up from time to time for thier political survival
well my point was may be the culture getting diminished not bcoz it is bad , may be the other one is aggressive .When I said "you", I didn't mean India. It was a reference towards all cultures in general. And yes, India absorbed democracy but you failed to make your own unique version of it. Same goes for Sri Lanka. What goes on in one place doesn't work in the other in its original form.
