BEIJING, Jan 29 (APP)- The chief of Chinas Xinhua News Agency said Tuesday that the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) and his news organization maintain excellent cooperation in the filed of news coverage and this would continue in future. We have long-standing cooperation with APP and it would continue in future as well, Xinhua president Tian Congming said while talking to APP special correspondent in Beijing at a Lunar New Year Reception he hosted for domestic and foreign media representatives.
The reception was attended by ambassadors of various countries, journalists belonging to print and electronic media and press counsellors.
Earlier, in his address Tian outlined his organizations plans and thanked the media organizations across the world for extending helping hand for the progress and development of the Xinhua news agency.
He said that this year one of the major task with his organization was the coverage of the upcoming Beijing Olympic.
Tian said that all arrangements for the Beijing Olympics were proceeding smoothly according to the schedule.
