On Oct. 26, a decorating ceremony of Chinas fifth peacekeeping force to Darfur of Sudan was hold at the U.N. super camp in Darfur.
All 315 soldiers and officers as well as three military personnel conducting peace-keeping operations in Darfur was awarded Peace Medal of Honor by the United Nations.
Chinas peacekeeping forces won the Special Contribution Award, which became the only awarded detachment from 13 peace-keeping detachments in Darfur war zone of Sudan.
