Just visit any children's hospital in rural india or pakistan, and your faith will take a deep dive,watch poor parents taking away their new born gasping for air every breath because they can't afford ventilator and NICU care,watch that infant slowly loosing his life with every breath, watch his parents cry being helpless. what kind merciful god will allow these things to happen to new borns.

Well, as cited in example, ask the parents of the new born child if they want to give such a test in which they can't save their new born.
Do they even have option to not participate in such a test of allah( for that matter, test of any god ,indian gods or Western god Jesus) in which their new born kid is sacrificed.
If they opt out of such test ( by removing themself from islam or any other religion) will that kid be spared his life as the parents are no longer participants in the test of allah/jesus/ram/shiva/Zeus/apolo or whatever
