According to the incomplete statistics from Chinese customs, from March 1 to April 17, China provided the US with 1.864 billion masks, 258 million pairs of gloves, 29.19 million surgical protective suits, 3.13 million goggles, 156 invasive ventilators and 4,254 non-invasive ones.

Before people start with the usual hijinks prevalent here, the main question would be did they sell them or donate them?

Cause if they were sold at a premium, you can't extract moral high ground from it and if they were donated you can't in good conscience blame your benefactor.

Sold it at a premium price, that is already being a normal price today.

The problem of the article above, it says there's an accusation that China holding many important equipments.
 
In the meantime, China has stopped all international commercial shipment of facial masks to America, Europe and Africa. The new policy for Australia and Asia is only slight different.

Before the recent ban, it was already restrictive. One Chinese person can only send 100 masks out in one package.

My take is that China government wants to use these supplies as a PR tactic and take credit for it because they are banning ordinary Chinese people from sending them out.
