Hopefully nothing will happen. It's not a good time for war.
Indeed, depends on if Taiwan decides to host US troops or not.The option to avoid war is in Taiwan's hands.
Are they the same people sharing everything in common? Ethnicity, culture, language, values, philosophy.....Ah the Chinese nation theory, the Akhand Baharat of the Far East.
One language and one peopleAre they the same people sharing everything in common? Ethnicity, culture, language, values, philosophy.....
Mandarin is not a language, it's Beijing dialect, it's an accent. It's like British accent and American accent are both English. People from Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong kong and Macau are all Han Chinese and use the same language.
Which part? ‘’Chinese don't fight Chinese"?"Barking dog seldom bites"
Why would taiwan declares independence, It is defacto country, Everyone knows it. What extra benefit, it will get.Xi again clearly declared two bottom lines for peace : 1st. No foregin intervention. 2nd. No declaring of independence.
Then it'll be OK, PRC is also a defacto government in a sense, both PRC and ROC are part of China. 一国两制 各自表述 “One country, two systems, different interpretations” Thank you for mentioning this principle, which PRC and ORC jointly reached in 1992. Now you sound more and more like PRC government. Why would taiwan declares independence, It is defacto country, Everyone knows it. What extra benefit, it will get.
From all facts to say, Taiwan is more like autonomous region. Or a state of India. It doesn't have diplomatic authorityWhy would taiwan declares independence, It is defacto country, Everyone knows it. What extra benefit, it will get.
