China news agency, Beijing, August 25 (Reporter Weng Yang) - Press 25 from the Ministry of Commerce informed the Chinese government has decided to flood victims in Pakistan, 60 million yuan worth of relief materials for the provision of urgently needed tents, water purification etc.. Combined with previously identified two groups of aid, the total amount of supplies Pakistan with Chinese assistance has reached 120 million yuan.

Well I am glad China is donating relief goods instead of money.Relief Goods are are important then money IMHO as relief goods can be delivered immediately to effected areas unlike money.This of course does not include aid we have got from Chinese Embassy Staff who went of their way and donated their personal salaries for floods affected people.Also Chinese Company has donated 1000 tons of Rice.

Don't worry, they will be here soon," looking for bone from an egg", like China have so much money, best friend suppose to give the most.
For me, more aid is good for now, but it will be more important for China to help Pakistan in rebuilding the damaging area after the flood.

i have heard that later on china will be ahead of everyone in reconstruction and rehabilitation process as they are more experienced owing to the similar kind disasters they faced in the past.Pakistan will get a better infrastructure in the future.InshAllah..

China today sent a 55-member rescue team to help with the relief efforts in Pakistan's flood hit areas. According to China Earthquake Administration, the team consist of 19 rescue workers, technicians and 36 medical workers today left for Pakistan. The team also carried about USD one million worth
of relief materials, including medicine and medical equipment.

China last night announced an additional USD 8.5 million aid to the flood victims of Pakistan. This was in addition to the USD 10 million aid given earlier.

Also China on Wednesday dispatched relief supplies worth USD 2.94 million to flood-hit Pakistan.

China's announcement of increasing aid to Pakistan comes in the back drop of comments by US Special Envoy to ****** Richard Holbrooke that the Chinese should step up to the plate considering their close relations with Pakistan.

The death toll in the floods stands around 1,500 people, but the disaster ranks as one of Pakistan's worst ever because of the scale and massive economic damage.

Other countries should also help out Pakistan.
