New Seagull Digital Cameras CM9 and CK10 Released

As one of China’s earliest original camera brands, Seagull has kept precious memories for countless families, and is now still a classic for the 50’s and 60’s generation, even the 80’s. Now, Shanghai Seagull Digital Camera Co., LTD. released two high-end digital cameras, CM9 and CK10.

Independent R & D, filling domestic gap

As we know the technique of digital cameras has always been dominated by brand companies from Japan and some other countries; out of various reasons, the core components of domestic digital cameras still remain blank, and the digital technique has fell behind.


Now, more than 50 Seagull projects have acquired national patents. Besides the world’s leading multi-layer nanometer coating technique of aerospace-grade lens, Seagull has independently developed the imaging processing technique SIPT2 Generation, the fifth generation of automatic focalizing system, and the original all-day anti-shake technique, etc.


In January 2014, two high-end Seagull cameras, CF100 and CK20 were quietly put into market.

Released this time, CM9 and CK10 are the newest masterpieces of Seagull. CM9 is Seagull’s first all-in-one model that combines shooting and casting; it has more than 10 national patents and more than 20 software copyrights. The appearance of CM9 adopted Seagull’s classic style of twin-lens reflex cameras. Different from twin-lens, CM9 has one “eye” for framing, the other connected to the micro projector, and the lens are equipped with sapphire crystal glass. In order to facilitate shooting, double-screen displaying is innovatively adopted by CM9, which can thus frame from both the top and back, making it easier and simpler to photograph and shoot.

The intelligent family tour camera CK10, having adopted Seagull’s revolutionary all-intelligent operating system and one button for multiple functions, can thoroughly defeat its peer cameras of international brands in terms of picture processing, picture color and reaction speed. For high-end family clients, CK10 has especially carried out customized projects, in which customized contents are carved on the bottom of every camera using titanium super-precision artistic carving skills.

These two cameras are both made in nitinol plus high-emulation super fibrous leather, which provides the body with better intensity and texture that look nostalgic and fashionable. Like CF100 and CK20, which already entered the market, every camera has adopted the Seagull original core techniques, with wifi function making it easier and more humanized to transmit pictures.


Awe-inspiring fame, glorious history

In 1958, the predecessor of Seagull Factory, Shanghai Camera Factory was established, taking developing the national camera industry as its responsibility; in 1968, to adapt to export need, “Shanghai Camera” was officially registered as “Seagull”. From then on, this “seagull” was born.


New product released at the Great Hall of the People

On August 15th, a very special day, Seagull held a press conference in the Great Hall of the People. The famous Chinese emcee Zhao Zhongxiang was present to show support, and the new products CM9 and CK10 made their debuts. More surprisingly, the conference was held in both Beijing and Shanghai at the same time: while the press conference in the Great Hall is going on, the new products are synchronously released in Shanghai’s biggest camera market, Shanghai Starlight Photographic Equipment Mall, and thousands of Seagull fans came to show their supports. At the upsurge of the conference, the sponsor tactfully arranged a very first offline auction for 4 types of Seagull cameras.

Seagull also elaborately prepared displays of classic cameras, new camera experiencing activities and show girls demonstration; it presented a sweet feast of photography and memories for Seagull fans and photographic equipment enthusiasts.

August 15, Seagull officially released their new digital cameras at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, which use dual camera style Seagull CM9. The digital camera details are F1.4-F2.3, large aperture lens 24-90mm, the 10 million pixel 1 / 1.7 inch CMOS sensor, Seagulls unique SIPT2 image processing technology, Seagulls original smart OS which supports WIFI. In addition to camera functions, Seagulls CM9 also has a projection function.

The expected market price of 6999 CNY.

6999CNY is a quite high price for a digital camera, at this price, there are a lot of other options in the market.

Any as the one of the few Chinese brands in camera market, Seagull starts to fight for its market share.
