does it say somewhere these or one of them are being delivered!

sadly but i havent find any suchclaim as yet! ! !
i wish some one can come up with some inside news!

regards!

Well there has been no confirm news of this acquisition which the author has posted in his website.

pakistan recently acuired the latest american TPS-77 radars, plus a number of aerostat radars too. total number around 10 or more, so whats the logic to induct the chinese at this stage ???

Or are we getting some kind of a chinese SAM with which these radars are to be used ??

The said website gives no source about this news, just a heading with the above mentioned pictures specifying the details of these radars.

We have YLC-2 3 D radars (not YLC-2A) in our inventory. We also have YLC-6 2D mobile radars. We bought these years ago.

IIRC there are 12 YLC-2 in service.YLC-2A is essentially the same, but with a lesser degree of angular scanning (smaller "up"-arc). IMHO that means a lower antenna and use where there is a relatively unobstructed horizontal plane (as it can see high flying targets only when they are further out, compared to YLC-2.). It implies a location either in flat terrain, or at high altitudes (e.g. mountain peak).

it is a very good radar...it's specifications are kicka$$...it won't come cheap by the looks of it.
but isn't the tolerance of <100m a bit too much and the resolution too less for a low altitude radar?

I have seen one YLC-2 on the top of a mountain.
