TOKYO/GUANGZHOU -- China exported nearly 500,000 electric cars in 2021 -- more than any other country in the world -- thanks to increasing sales in Europe and Southeast Asia by emerging cost-competitive automakers, Nikkei has learned.

Yes, the 2021 demand in China (320,000! only second to the US market) and the world is making the Shanghai employees work extra hard and extra shifts to satisfy world demand.

Of the "500,000 EVs" exported by China over 150,000 of them were Teslas.

No more casually putting together cars like a year ago.

Beijing office will be designing them and Tesla is highly dependent on China for material and batteries, China is indispensble for Tesla cars, US is dispensible.

None. Researching a possible small car. No concrete designs or sketches. Not even a simple clay model.

That blade battery has not been convincing people the world over to buy BYD cars. The BYD Han EV came out in July 2020 and sales have been mediocre. They are lucky to sell over 10K models a month in China nevermind elsewhere.

You are ignoring overall sales of BYD EV just to suit your agenda by picking on BYD Han. BYD haven't scale up their blade battery. It is currently trying to satisfy its own consumption. Soon large scale production will start.

Even a well establish car maker like Toyota picks blade battery. Tesla opinion matter little.
