NASA released a self-portrait Friday taken by the Curiosity Mars rover.

Curiosity snapped its selfie as it explored the “Namib Dune,” where the rover collects sand samples, according to NASA. The site is to the northwest of Mount Sharp, Curiosity’s primary mission site.

The image was put together using 57 separate images taken with the Mars Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI) at the end of the car-sized robot’s arm.

While wrist motions and other movements allowed the MAHLI to capture most of the rover and the scene around it, the arm where the camera rests is not in view. The image was taken on January 19 which is Curiosity’s 1,228th day on Mars.

This isn’t the first selfie that the rover has taken during its mission. Curiosity took a snap of itself to celebrate its one Martian year anniversary (687 days) on the planet in 2014.

When China can bring back the Helium 3 and mining moon then I will call that a great achievement, we should manage to earn back for all our investment on this moon projects...otherwise it's just a wasting scientific project.

They are going to launch a rocket in a few months (April/May?) that is more powerful than the Long March 5.

Only because they strapped 9 Merlin-1D engines together for the 1st Stage !
For the Falcon Heavy, including the two strapped on booster, that's a total of 9X3=27 Engines !

The Long March will only have 2 YF-100 engines for the 1st stage since the YF-100 is more efficient.
Together with the 4 boasters, that's a total of 2X5 = 10 engines.

Again, I laughed at your ignorant of international law.

Said many time, mining the moon or building bases on moon is ILLEGAL for any country as per UN Space Law. Otherwise US would had colonized moon a long time ago, and will not be anything to mine for anyone now. You can ask Jack Ma to do it for China, but seems like Elon Musk will be there before him.

SpaceX can fit 9 engines because they were made small so they can be put on gimbals for thrust vectoring (helps with landing)

These are very tiny engines but put out a lot of thrust for their size (as your chart shows more that half of the Yf-100)

It's on the opposite side of the moon...and Yutu can't move...it locked up soon after rolling off the lander.
