Its not about your interest but anglo interest only. The anglo do not see India as equal. They know u have no right to bargain with them. They can cut off your F404 engine and your Tejas is doomed anytime. Same as asking Ukraine to stop supply of gas turbine for your warahip. Same as US can come up with sanction or restrictions against India for trading with Russia. There is not much leverage India has against the western power.
