China Is a Declining Power—and That’s the Problem

China is rallying the whole of global south
Exactly.

China's resurgence after 1978 has been catalyzed by Deng Xiaoping personally inviting FDI/ODA/ToT from neighboring countries/economies (which are also our largest FDI sources till nowadays), and further went on fast track after joining WTO in 2001. Looking forward, we have to gradually distance ourselves from the debt-financed "nominal GDP" bubbles in the west, instead China's future deeply depends on peace & prosperity of the global south. Like I have mentioned back in 2015 our geo-economic priorities are: ASEAN, Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia (barring India), Latin America (& the Caribbean), Arabic world, Central-Eastern Europe (including Russia/Belarus).

Just as we received FDI/ODA/ToT from neighboring countries/economies in 1978, by now China has among world's largest net international capital and technical knowhow (as per World Intellectual Property Org), it's time for China to send FDI/ODA/ToT to the global south.

It’s why the next 10-15 years for China are so critical. If they can’t surpass US GDP in that timeframe, it may never.
Most Chinese don't care whether China' GDP surpass US or not. If people's life continue to impove than that's fine. Sometimes I feel some American's mind is very sick and full of malice.
