What's new

China in talks for sale of jet engine technology to Germany

It's about a manufacturing process on "Blades"...

And this thread turn up to be a measuring d*ck competition... ok...
And some showing off, a deeply Arrogant attitude for somthing that trivial...

As for those..asking... themselfs why Germany doesn't have such tech... Well..Welcome in Europe..;Where each countries is specilized in few domains...

Germany can equal that tech... but it will take time and money... so no need to reinvent the wheel... buy it and that's it... it's not like you need to waste ressources on smthing that only few ppl will be interested in...

Germany is breaching some agreement nowadays...they want to manufacture everything themselfs... they are respecting less and less the shared agreement of tech with some EU memebers, Like France and the Satellite event... Where France and Germany had to buy one "type" of tech from each others... But Germany gave the full process to a German manufacturer to dev the entire tech of it...

Ok...Ok...

Ps: China has some advance in very few department... still a long road to catch The other big ones..;but it's getting there... So it will be stupid to not take advantage of such shared tech...

But please stop the Arrogant/insulting behavior of some members... That are still around PDF... with everything they've done... Trolling/Insults posts are still around even thou' they've been reported countless times... That free tickets..; he's giving some guys... Big Hard Wings to continue...
Bro,

Georg was the first to have this arrogance, not us Chinese posters. We came from a humble background, laser additive and ceramic coating technology is at the forefront of turbine blades.

In those Butt-hurt'ers view.
When Chinese tell their development and progress, it's an ARROGANT behavior and Propaganda.

But when western country / their master country, and also their tiny country tell their development and progress, it's a Fact and Humble behavior.

The traditional gas engine is on the patch to be obsolete, which China have few decent one. But the future is electric engine for car, China is at front on this field.

Gas engine normally used for electricity power generation and ship propulsion, hence electric engine for car is not subtitute.

Also there will be abundant shale gas supply in the future, therefore the demand for gas engine will remain high especially to replace steam turbines power generation using coal.

The question is, what technology Germany would offer to China as an exchange.
IMO jet engine is the highest echelon if a nation's technology know how. If this indeed is true and it's China most advance engine I think it's stupid to offer to Germany. After all they are NATO and part of the Anglosax alliance.

The angrier the west feel towards China, the better for all Chinese. But I think we should only postnew development to counter posts about China being a copycat, or China is not innovative thread.

Germany does not need China. it can produce everything including complete jet engines. take MTU engine, the company produces lots of components for Airbus, GE and PW. from civil to military aircraft such as A400M.

The Germans are not good in everything, they are good in machinery not electronics, Americans and other Europeans still dominate high-end electronics, and aerospace. I am not saying the Germans are incapable, I am saying the allies made sure the Germans did not progress in those field due to strategic reasons. Chinese jet engine technology in some sense is actually more advanced than German technology.

Notice the mention on ceramic coating. I don't think R&R coat theirs in ceramic.
Nonsense

Should Germany decide to go back to the Deutsch Mark, the economies of France, UK and the rest of Europe would collapse.

Really? You are BS again. Your argument does not support your claim. Just name a Germany designed 3rd gen Turbo fan engine like our WS10, or 4th gen engine like WS-15.

No BS. The company has long history, once produced jet engines for F4 Star Fighter in license. That’s long ago. It plays a major role in making engines for Tornado jet and Eurofighter.

MTU even produces engines for Tiger helicopters.

There is no such thing as complete technological dominance, not even US can achieve that. Germany is only strong in a few areas like machinery and precision components. They are not well known for lasers or additive manufacturing. The world's largest piece metallic 3D printed component was produced by AVIC for C919, we are at the forefront of this field. Btw, we are not selling an engine to Germany, we are selling them the laser machining and ceramic coating machine.

Germany is too small to survive on her own, WWII should have thought them well, China and US are continent sized countries. We can survive on our own markets alone, Germany or Japan doesn't have that luxury.

BS again here. Show me your Germany COMPLETELY self developed 3rd Gen Jet engine! Not some R&R shit...

Germany does not have complete high thrust turbofan technology, only China, Russia, US, UK and France has this technology. The Chinese engines used to have reliability issues, but from 2008 onwards, the problem was solved and almost 400+ nos have been produced.
