China Exerts Influence in Eastern Europe

China recently singed an agreement to loan US $1 billion to the tiny state of Moldova, a landlocked country in Eastern Europe nestled between Romania and Ukraine. Moldova, uptil recently, had heavy dependence on Russia for its needs but is open now to the Chinese investment and influence.
