Why would China have a base in Pakistan? It doesn't make sense politically or economically.

Who comes up with these mind farts? China is not stupid like Americans. China is busy building a strong economical base so no such thing is happening at least in near future. Whoever controls the worlds economy in future will be the leader of this world.

American defense industry feeds on paranoid nations. Take an example of gulf nation who drool over American weaponry. Same will be the fate of the nations who are paranoid about china and will most definitely end up with American weapons.

Would you like to add Pakistan to the list of paranoid nations ending up with American hardware? How lustfully Pakistan seeks F-16s from US. And it's not like China and Pakistan are not in the market to sell their hardware too, feeding the paranoia even more.

The 8 F-16s are being offered by the US. Pakistan didn't request. If anything, the Americans are desperate to bribe Pakistani influence and they don't hide their intentions.

Also, the article clearly suggests American paranoia at China Pakistan relations. The US would rather have both these nations isolated. Too bad for the US. China Pak relation is bound to go from strength to more strength. Read the article again.

I hate to burst the bubble, but the US has created problems everywhere you look. China and Pakistan getting closer is just the tip of the iceberg.

Don't be so sure about Pak being disseminated and India surviving a nuclear war. When push comes to shove in a nuclear war anything can happen. This could also easily mean the total annihilation of India.

Be rest assured that both Pakistan and China will do just about everything in their power to make sure that our investment and assets are secured. There is no question about a military alliance between China and Pakistan.

Only those countries are irked at the Pakistan China alliance that want to harm it in the first place. Those that aren't irked also have nothing to fear.

Pakistan is not done with her sovereignty.Modern statehood does not allow political and economic imperialism unless the state plays as a proxy or client and not independently.And we are an independent country.
China is another major global player.
China is the neighbor of India and Pakistan as well.We do have border issues.But we do like politics and diplomacy to play it role and address them.Any geographical advantage that we extend to one nation ,we can extend to the other neighbor as well.None of us can afford to become a part of those "games" that the Goras dearly like to play.

Pakistan and China's ties go back to the 60's.These have not started at the advent of CPEC.
It may be game of chess for you Sir, but it has not to be for us.


Bottom line: Always a talk of uncertainties and fears from their side.A discussion that makes the divide more wider.

Pakistan has no industrial and financial base to invest in defense industry. We make do by importing our hardware so what is your excuse? F-16 is logisticaly and financially best option for us as we have been operating ths jet for a long time now. Secondly we have always had option to buy jets from china anyway. Our future acquisitions will all be from china. Lastly our paranoia is not unfounded when a nation in our neighbour hood constantly reminds us that they are our enemies. We have a genuine looming threat from india.

However, in case you meant decimate instead of disseminate then make no mistake, it is not a matter of could. If our friend @CorporateAffairs' fanciful wish of decimating Pakistan ever even comes close to coming true by Indian hands, India would definitely have total annihilation knocking on its door within a matter of minutes. That is the sole purpose of the, reportedly, soon to be world's 3rd largest nuclear weapons stockpile. When the push does come to shove in a nuclear war then there's one thing and only one thing which can happen and that is MAD.
