By far, China is the world's largest producer of machine tools at $28 billion in 2011.

You know how the U.S. likes to brag it spends more on its military than the next 10 countries combined? Well, China consumes more machine tools than the next 15 countries combined! Take that ole U.S. of A.!

Show me a reputable citation to back up your claim. Also, I want to see the benchmarks for both China and Germany. Don't forget to identify the manufacturer, machine type, and machine model. I want to make sure that you're comparing apples to apples (e.g. comparably-priced equipment).

If you can't back up your claim, stop spreading propaganda.

China has been the world's largest machine tool manufacturer for the last ten years. China has the advantage of economy of scale.

I am challenging your b.s. claim. Either prove it or shut up.

India is 2nd-strongest BRIC in machine tool production and consumption

At $875 million, India edged out Brazil for the distinction of second-strongest BRIC country in machine tool production!

Though India has a smaller GDP than Brazil or Russia, the greater Indian consumption of machine tools seems to indicate a larger Indian manufacturing sector.

China has a broad range in terms of quality and price, from the low end to high end thus able to sell to all kinds of customers. German products can only compete in the high range category and is doing quite well as can be seen that China is one of our biggest customer in the world.

Congrats to China

The quality and specifications of the tools will depend on the budget, if the consumer requires high-end product and willing to pay for it, there won't be any hesitation from the manufacturers side.

THATS' NOTHING

CPC is training chinese to eat machine tools ... then they will no longer need to toil in the fields to grow food.

They turn on their machines and evaporate in to SPACE .. and holiday in another Galaxy.

Well..quantity over quality...most of the machine tool output of China is actually Japanese & German offshore manufacturing. Even tho there are some real good quality competitors from China - a majority stand no chance against Japanese, Taiwanese and Germany.

We operate in the same industry (machinery & machine tools) so we have a good idea!

That's the True Worth of a Nation.

Hope India becomes the Largest Producer,Consumer and Both within Few Years.
