Putin is playing all sides. He is doing an India. Appeasing right-wing elements in European capitals to sow division and discord. Putin also has affection for right-wing nationalistic Christian values. He hasn't fogotten US and European treachery against former USSR. He is on a mission to damage the US Euro bloc as much as possible.

At the same time, Putin is trying to unite the region. He shares China's vision of having a strong international bloc between likeminded nations. This is bound to benefit Russia. The pictures on the internet tell otherwise. Indians worship Trump. Trump was supposed to be savior Krishna who would teach Pakistan a big lesson. I know Indians are disappointed by Trump, but they are not brave enough to admit it.
