changing traffic lanes from left to right

in Pakistan it bugs me that we follow the british left lanes and right hand side driving vehicles than the common international standard else where

should we change this standard in Pakistan in order to comply with international norms or not

Then It'll be better to buy a new one,as it will cost you a fortune and is technically stupid as it involves entire vehicle re build

The cost of changing the driving direction will equal to same like changing track of whole railway network from broad gauge to standard gauge.

i dont think shifting the wheel on the left requires to build entire vehicle, thats what im asking

I think converting a Right hand drive to left hand drive involves redesign of axle and transmission systems,electrical systems etc. Most cases,the low cost,low weight cars like mehran and other hatchback's body won't support such massive scale redesign. It will kill the car

contrary to that, its looks like an impossible job and you cant do it without breaking the car, but in reality, the steering wheel can be changed, and it doesnt make the car a junk

and i think it doesnt need to change the axle and other stuff

Is your whole nation ready to refurnish their car that's too overnight to change the driving direction. Changing driving direction overnight would be more like destructive "Tughlaqi Farman"

even the right wheel can be driven on right side lane, people do that to the RHS drive to common wealth type lanes

If it ain't broke--dont fix it.

And besides, i cannot even begin to imagine the chaos during the transition. It would be a massacre.

If a person wears the trousers by putting his right foot first, he will continue doing it for his entire life.

Steering wheel needs changing, the whole dash area needs changing, all the steering gear under the bonnet needs changing. Cost would be about the same as buying a new small car. Not really worth I suspect.

If you are right and converting a left hand drive to a right hand drive was that easy,BEML wouldn't be making Left Hand Drive Tatra trucks in India,just because Tatra did not allow axle redesign!
