I don't mind if Afghanistan wish to trade with India by Chabahar port. That is entirely up to them and I wish them best of luck.
It does make me happy if our brotherly nation is able to improve the life of its citizens anyhow. But it is also truth that the economy of entire Afghanistan can be compared with average small to medium size city of many nations in the world so it will be really stupid of them to choose longer and costly routes where they are already in negative trade balance with India and the future does look bleak in this prospect.
It will be too much costly for them to chose alternative routes however I wouldn't mind divising a policy with Pakistan to enable Pakistani workers to transport their goods to India via Wagah border and thorough checking of goods for each truck passing through Wagah.
I am in favour of Afghan exports passing to India and beyond... but their imports will be a matter of concern so a strategy can be made to reduce their losses incurred with transportation to make their business affordable.
Your dreaming dear,
The biggest thing you need to learn about indian's is that they are bull shitters of the first order
Pakistan is a poor country , totally counting on one single project. India private project handle more cargo then stupid Gawadar future capacity. See Mundra, Kandla, krishnapatnam port. Public ports will double there capacity bu 2018. India has cargo handling capacity 10 times more then whole Pakistan ports combined and Indian ports deal with cargo from Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean to Bay of Bengal, straits of Malacca. Poor pakis cant even imagine that sort of work.
1 idea is to have a dedicated port for Afghan goods near Wagah... Where their trucks will be unloaded and their goods handed over to reliable transportation company from Pakistan who will ship their goods to destination in India alongside Pakistani products.. and the same trucks can be used to import goods back from Lahore to AfghanistanI don't mind if Afghanistan wish to trade with India by Chabahar port. Indian giant companies already have presence dear...
No one stomach is aching at least we are full with our economic development. Not too sure about pakis

So basically
Afghanistan > Goods Loaded > Lahore Dry Port > Goods handed over to Pakistani transportation company > Goods delivered in India
Goods picked up by Pakistani transportation company > Unloaded at Lahore Dry Port > Loaded by Afghan trucks > back to Afghanistan
If there is one thing Indians are adapt at is lying...
The problem of letting Afghan trucking criss-cross the country is the enormous expense of anti-narcotics surveillance necessary!
India companies have been in Iran for a while now.... they were there even at the times of sanctions....
