That superstition is in a lot of countries, including Pakistan, it goes back to Europe of around 1400 to 1700 and the crazy witch hunts. The Europeans took this with them to the countries they colonised.

Beings, humans and especially animals can be naturally dangerous, or not,
Colour does not change who or what you are, it works with animals too.

But, once set, some habits are hard to break.
