I am told this mean: snake lives in the wild, man lives in the city.

Is this correct?

What will be the correct hindi sentence (transliteration please) that conveys the meaning above. Thanks.

Maru means "wilderness, jungle" etc, no? :O

Seems right to me! Although I confess I studied Sanskrit for only 1 year and ended up with Nepali.

Maru in Sanskrit means desert. So it should be Snakes live in the desert, and Man in the city.

Ok got it from Roybot's post . I took maarho for a bhojpuri word which has the same pronunciation if iam not wrong
