I believe Bangladesh's defence purchases from China gives them a heart burn. Not to mention the
string of pearls project by China.

Any kind of development in Bangladesh gives them one.

We really don't. Our trade deficit is always cancelled out by out remittance into the country. Last year we only had $ 3 billion in trade deficit and remittance accounts for over $20 billion.

Still,that doesn't mean anything.You are still dependent on your trade partners even for basic industrial products.And you need Japan for building a damn airport terminal?

I don't see trade imbalance with India getting balanced,probably not in this decade.

In fact you guys need access through our borders to get into your Eastern regions for lower costs, something we don't need.

I was not referring to India's indigenous defence industry. I am talking about the geopolitical implications of
Bangladesh buying Chinese tanks , frigates and submarines.

Doesnt matter, look at tiny size of Israel. It will happily play with all the Arabs, Persian and Pakistan. Talent and capability which matters most.

Most Pakistanis don't make comments like yours so I suspect you are Indian false-flagger.

While it is not an intention of mine to enter into a pissing contest, let me clarify something.

It isn't the size of your country but the actual land area that is arable and usable for profitable ends such as agriculture. Most of the subcontinent uses farming as the cornerstone of their GDP. If you have wide swaths of unusable barren land (which is not even suitable for mining) then what's the use?

Bangladesh land usage for farming (strictly intensive farming) is estimated to be a touch over 9 million hectares. We grow at least three (in some areas, four) rice crops per year. Plus there is intensive mechanized fishing, poultry, animal husbandry activities.

Bangladesh feeds 16 crore people then is a net exporter of rice....

Pakistan land usage for farming is estimated to be a touch over 20 million hectares which actually includes grazing land with lower profitability per hectare. Percentage-wise Indian land usage for farming is even lower....because of recent droughts in the last decade.

Bangladeshi average life expectancy (at 70 years) was higher than both Pakistan and India (66 years) in 2012, due to improved hygiene drives and ubiquitous medical care. I'm sure its even higher now.

Currently Bangladesh is classified as a zero defecation country. No other large South Asian nation is anywhere close.
