No, it doesn't work that way anymore. The US is the pariah nation and the EU will have no choice but to understand that China must take these retaliatory steps to defend itself. It will just be US patents that are invalidated, EU patents will be respected and royalties will continue to be paid so long as the EU remains neutral in the China-US war.

Dumping all treasury bill won't lead to any hyperinflation or financial crisis. You hold less than 10% of all treasury bills. Maybe around 5%.

Honestly speaking as a nation of 1.4 billion India does have great potential, however their incompetent leadership, western worship mentality and backward social structure etc constrain the realization of their full potential. Indian individual can be very successful in saying US where most hurdles Indian society impose implicitly or explicitly on them does not exist. We can't underestimate India. So spank? What are you waiting for? Trump just put tariffs on upwards of 250 bn USD of your goods, and has put Huawei on the entity list. Trump would now force foreign companies to cut off their ties with Huawei. If this is actually done, than Huawei will face a very very hard time because America has monopoly on many technologies. So Huawei won't even get access to any fab!

Oh there's a lot left to sanction. And patent is not the only thing in technology. In fact the most important technologies aren't even patented, they are kept as trade secret to protect them. Just knowing patents does nothing when it comes to tech. You can't fabricate on a 7 nm process even if you knew and invalidated all patents of TSMC.

I don't think GM does anything that can't be done by others like European companies. The thing is that you are not even going after simple targets like GM and Qualcomm which give nothing critical to China just shows that China has really capitulated on this front.

Actually foreign capital is not a zero sum game. Even if you ban GM from China, GM won't invest in India because it has no market presence in India. Similar with other countries. Capital in this world is enough to invest in BOTH India and China if that was what was desired by companies. It is not a question of either India or China.
