Bugti’s killers must be punished: Nawaz

* PML-N chief says plunderers of national wealth should be exposed

LAHORE: Murderers of Akbar Bugti should be brought to justice for peace in Balochistan, a private TV channel quoted Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif as saying on Friday.

Talking to reporters after the inaugural ceremony of a cricket pavilion at the Bagh-e-Jinnah, the PML-N chief said those who got their loans written off should be held accountable along with beneficiaries of the National Reconciliation Ordinance, as they had plundered the national exchequer. Nawaz said there would be no threat to democracy if the government worked for supremacy of law and the constitution. Restoring law and order in the country should be the government’s first priority, he added.

According to APP, Nawaz also stressed the use of all resources to address the challenges facing the nation, including maintenance of law and order, poverty, unemployment and revival of economy.

“Apart from political issues, there are a number of other problems confronting the country, which need our attention,” Nawaz said. daily times monitor/app

We should be glad he is not negotiating executive order over this issue.
It's a shame for so called lovers of democracy and justice.
Bugti was a criminal and was responsible for killing of thousands of Balauchis had his personal army, which carried out several terrorist attacks in Balauchistan and also killed army soldiers and officers.
Nawaz Sharif is an idiot. India US and terrorists are teaming up together against Pakistan and he is talking nonsense.

I think Saudi government should behead Nawaz for all the corruption and money he stole from Pakistan and Pakistani people.

All I know is , when Mr Bugti was alive he had a militia rule , and that is Anti Pakistan - and that is not allowed I support the Army's decision 100% no militia should be allowed to rule the country ... and impose its own rule on Pakistani land -

Its common sense -

But I also knwo the region is very underdeveloped but also becasue these militias prevented any real development projects to complete as they kept killing engineers or investors who dared try to do something good in that region

Again I would like to learn more on Mr Bugti as he was a very shadowy figure in our political world

What have Mr. Nawaz Sharif done for Pakistan today?

This is a question which NS and his admirers should ask themselves on a daily basis. PML-N has gotv. in Punjab and I would like to see work done in Punjab, atleast set some targets and give people a road map on how Punjab govt. is going to achieve those targets.

Our politicians have nothing to show so they find non-issues to keep everyday Joe occupied.

The fact of the matter is that Pakistan Army was trying to establish the writ of Pakistan and Bugti resisted that attempt with the help of his malitia, end result was the death of Mr. Bugti.

This is no different than the operation in Swat or in Waziristan. President of Pakistan or the Chief of Army etc are not responsible for the death of people in such cases.

FIR has been launched against Gen. Musharraf and the court(s) will throw it out.

Nawaz Sharif won't give a fig for Bugti. It is really Musharraf he is after. His support for the CJ Iftikhar was also for the same reason; my enemy’s enemy is my friend. Why would someone who engineered attack on the Supreme Court would go on a long march to support the same institution?

Our Mian sahib is a vindictive man of the worst kind. He is not really a shareef, he is a paaji.

Personally i donot support the Bugti's Evil Feudal Regime but in the current deteriating situation of Balochistan Nawaz's Point is valid as it may Give him a local support in Balochistan which is direly needed . If an External Political Entity like PML-N wins some support in Balochistan its far more better than those Rebilion Political Parties of Murree and BLA .
Right Now with Parliment passing a heavy Balochistan Package points towards an aggresive Political engagement with those Rebilion Baloch Entities . The GOP , Establishment and PA will go to any extent to ensure success of the Political Engagement . However its a Long Term strategy which would bring Fruits after a minimum of 7 to 8 years . However If the Political Engagements during this timespan didnt worked out then theres deffinately an alternative route which no body would happily follow .
I hope these Political Engagements be successful ...

Killing and looting is all this chap's business Have a look at this:

During Benazir Bhutto’s two terms in power, a total of Rs 7.23 billion loans had been written off, constituting 24.2 per cent of the loans written off — Rs 494.97 million in her first tenure and Rs 6.74 billion in the second

According to the figures compiled by the Credit Information Bureau, it was during the two tenures of Nawaz Sharif — 1990-93 and 1997-99 — that major chunks of these loans had been written off.

Two-thirds of the total loans — Rs 22.35 billion — had been written off during the two stints of Nawaz Sharif. In his first tenure, a total of Rs 2.39 billion had been written off and during his second, the amount had gone up to a staggering Rs 19.96 billion.

The loans written off during the two tenures of Nawaz Sharif constituted approximately 74.5 per cent of the total of Rs 30.018 billion written off between 1986 and 1999.

I dont see anything wron with opening a case and having a nopen investigations into Bugti's death. It will prove it to be an accident and that will close the matter once and for all. it is denial which causes suspicions. So if the people want this case opened, it should be opened.
As far as NS motives are concerned, I am fairly sure this is a political statement and has no bearings on what he wants. I am sure this would not be a priority if he were the PM instead of AAZ. However thew case of the missing people should be brought out into the open and investigated. If people have been kept in illegal confinement, this should be rectified and the culprits punished. Even if they are criminals, their cases should be heard in an impartial court and sentences pronounced.

Most of seats in last election were won by PML-Q so there is already an outside party. Rest oft he seats were won by the PPPP. Locals have already shown their support for Pakistan but what can one do when our media is interviewing the rebels instead of getting the POV of the elected members of Balochistan.

Bugtis are limited to the Bugti area and Marri are limited Kohlu etc. These guys don't represent the entire Baloch population.

That package has already been rejected by the rebels and our media, specially Geo, is giving them coverage nstead of checking with the elected members of the Prov and NA assembly from Balochistan.

Political engagement can only work with people who are in politics, not with people who are getting money from foreign elements.

In the name of political engagement, our politicians pay more to the saradrs which calms the situation for a short term but thwt is not the LT solution.
