South Asian Sufi and Mosque buildings have influences from Islamic architecture. Look up Buddhist structures today in India---do they resemble anything like our buildings? Hardly

Its kind of a stretch because Christians and Zorostrians also had octagonal structures in the same shape.

We should always respect Bhuddist shrines from our longterm brothers from those buddist societies.
