British government bans BLA under new anti-terrorism law LONDON: The British government on Monday banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) along with four extremist groups under new laws prohibiting the glorification of terrorism, an official said.
Home Secretary John Reid named the groups as Al-Ghurabaa, the Saved Sect, the Baluchistan Liberation Army and Teyrebaz Azadiye Kurdistan, a Home Office spokesman told media.
Reid laid an order in parliament which will make it a criminal offense for a person to belong to or encourage support for the groups, to arrange meetings in their support or to wear clothes or carry articles in public indicating support or membership.
