Not exiting now will lead to even bigger crisis for EU....
UK has seen worse time during 60s and 70s ... what you see UK as 5th largest economy, is actually a turn around story, not ex-empire in perpetual decline.. am pretty sure they will punch well above their weight even after brexit...Uk has been a propsperous country and will remain so for a while after exiting EU...but this whole idea that immigrants are root of every evil that effects the country today is wrong...thus a brexit based on this idea is wrong...
Times have changed... its not empire days any more.... no body wants to do buissness with untolerant old double deckers who are full of them selves....
There will be an economic decline slow and painfull....
Jobs left empty by immigrants will remain empty...as uk.people are too comfy on benefits to work....
10.years from now brexit will look like a blunder....but process will be slow and uk will remain a viable power
Unless and until scots exit......if that happens than its a whole new ball game
