The British armed forces are drawing up contingency plans to evacuate hundreds of thousands of British residents and tourists from Dubai and other Gulf cities in the event of war with Iran.

He has also personally raised the issue of the safety of the foreign population, which makes up 70 per cent of the UAE's 4.5 million residents.

An interesting figure to point out here... I think India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the Philippines have an even greater reason to form their own evacuation plans, as they have millions of full time workers in the Gulf states.

India was barely able to efficiently pull out its expatriates during the Iraq-Kuwait War, hopefully that doesn't have to happen again.

Well, they may not attack the US and its allies necessarily first, but this plan could also be instated in case of a pre-emptive attack on Iran's nuclear facilities or something.

Who knows what ideas Iran has up its sleeve anyway...

i think it impossible for nato or us to handle iran at the moment as they are engaged on too many fronts most likely it is going to be once they withdraw from afghanistan .. Israel wont risk it on its own

The Israelis are fast losing their window of opportunity on this one... They have tried their best to get their buddy America on their side to attack Iran but that aint going to happen... So its a wait and see for now if Israel and Britain go for it on their own...
