Britain declares full military support to Turkey as Russia dispatches warship to the Mediterranean

Practically, I dont believe Russia will go for a full fledged war with Turkey...and if that happens at all, Russia will put a lot at stake and it will not see weather its Turkey or UK, it will just blow them up with all available weapons at their disposal!
Russia wont try anything funny, just like Russia foreign minister Lavrov said there will be no war with Turkey over downed aircraft. I don't need to explain why Russia didn't directly retaliate unlike what most Russian fanboys here wish it had. lol You all know the reason why.;)
Now Imagine Turkey was all alone and not a member of the world's most powerful military organization/grouping like say Georgia, i don't need to tell you that Russia's reaction would have been totally different if it was a small/mid size weak country who did this.:D

Anyway, there will be/is no war obviously. Russia will simply reinforce its air-defence forces in Syria and take measures to avoid such misunderstandings happening ever again and everybody will keep on going about their own geo political games in Syria like they have been doing for a long time now.:bounce:

The organization you are talking about is a paper tiger. If Turkey was not the member of NATO the reaction from Russia would be absolutely the same. Russia is not even taking NATO into account while considering response to Turkey because the possiblity of any NATO country attack Russia over this situation is 0.1%. So sorry to disappoint you but no one is buying your fairy tales about migthy paper tiger NATO

LOL LMAO. Really?? Then why did Russia invade Georgia and split the country even though Georgia didn't even go as far as Turkey by being the first one to start killing Russian soldiers/shooting down a Russian aircraft??lol
Why did Russia invade/annexed Crimea from weak Ukraine?? Why does Russia intimidates its poor small defenceless former soviet republics with its troops in many of these small countries etc?? lol
Yet you claim Russia would have done nothing if Turkey was a weak defenceless country like these small weak countries and not a part of NATO then Russia wouldn't have done anything?? Come on man, we all know that's a BIG LIE, if that was the case, Russia will long have invaded Turkey to teach it a lesson like it did with Georgia for example. lol We all know why Russia didn't and wouldn't do anything in this situation. lol

As for your point about NATO being a paper Tiger.........hmmmmm.......I wont even bother arguing over that.:pop:

Nope i said Russia would do the same if Turkey was not in NATO not being weak country. Russia will gain nothing useful attacking Tukey yet they will f*ck up our operation in Syria.

As for NATO being a paper tiger it is obvious. If Russia will attack any non-important NATO member the probability that other NATO countries will do anything to Russia is next to zero. So being in NATO doesnt save you from Russia in any way.

Asad at present is not only getting support from Russia, but just a couple of weeks ago China has sent in a good amount of aid to Syrian Army. Different people say different items, but confirmed list does include Ak56s, pistols , Mortars , Jeeps/SUVs, Trucks and other logistic equipment. And I don't see NATO changing the regime against a Russia,China backed Syrian Army .

China has no real military and geo political interests in Syria unlike Russia who has deep interest in Syria and a military base to maintain in the country, plus Syria is one of the only country in the region who is close ally to Russia thus enabling Russia to project power in the region through its naval military bases in the Syrian coast, losing Syria/Assad regime will be a huge blow to Russia and its interests in the region. Reason you see Russia getting so involve in this conflict.
China by contrast never had any strong ties to Syria/Assad either militarily or economically. What you don't understand is that China is merely interested in economic ties/development with most countries, it has no business in getting into geo political games between U.S,U.K,France and Russia. Russia wanted to trap the Chinese by indirectly urging them to join Russia in operations in Syria but China politely rejected that and Chinese president himself said China will not get involved militarily in any foreign war/engagement embarrassing Russia.
China will do business with any government that wins in Syria whether its a western backed government or a Russian one, they don't care one bit. I like their approach though.:enjoy:

As for your point about Chinese arms in Syria. well, Qatar and Sudan did buy some weapons from China and sent them to Syria rebel groups. The hell there are weapons from many countries in Syria from Serbia, to Hungary, to Ukraine to Czech Republic, Turkey, Iran and many other former soviet republics, i'm not counting weapons from other big western powers powers obviously. Proves nothing to be honest.:pop:

You are contradicting yourself. Why will NATO/western powers go to war with Russia over a country that is not part of NATO/Important to NATO??:undecided: We will simply provide military aid/training and military advice to that country(like U.K/U.S are currently doing in UKRAINE) and impose crippling economic sanctions like we did.

I clearly said you did nothing to Turkey even though they shot down your fighter jet and killed your pilot/soldiers simply because they are a full member of NATO. If NATO was a paper tiger as you said then you will have retaliated against them immediately and attacked them.We all know if Turkey was a non NATO member/small weak country like Georgia/Ukraine then Russia would have obviously attacked/invaded them after such an incident.:agree:

Your last point contradicts what you said yet again. you said 'being in NATO doesn't save you from Russia in any way'.lool If that is the case, then why did the mighty soviet Union even at its peak never invaded any NATO member country?? i wont talk about its little Child Russia today who is nowhere near as strong(Not even 1/10th as strong. lol) as mother U.S.S.R. :pop:

Im not contradicting anything. Do you even read what is being discussed?

The war will be over even before you manage to arrange your meetings. Your military aid will change nothing. And crippling sanctions

Should i repeat third time if you dont understand? We did nothing to Turkey has nothing to do with paper tiger NATO. Why should Russia attack Turkey? Do you think Russian leaders are retarded or someting? Why should Russia do something against its own interest?

Yes, being in NATO doesnt save you from Russia. If Georgia was in NATO it would be attacked anyway. And Soviet Union never invaded any single country whether it NATO or non-NATO since the creation of NATO. It was legitimate Afganistan government that asked military assistance from Soviet Union. Yet Soviet Union military forces attacked mighty NATO member called USA in North Korea and Vietnam and didnt have any problems because of that

Only the British are dumb enough to support the reckless decision made by Turkey just like they were dumb enough to follow the US in to war multiple times with the end result being nothing gained except dead British soldiers--in any case this is one violator backing up another violator. If Britain wants to be fair it should start backing up Greece, Iraq, Cyprus and Syria which have been violated thousands of times by the Turks aircraft. The next time Turkish aircraft violate Syrian airspace i hope Russia shoots them down without warning and then make statements similar to which Turkey has made. 'we did not know they were Turkish'--'we are sad this happened'--'we gave the aircraft 57 warning in 4 seconds'-- 'Turkey is overreacting'.

as for @mike2000 is back you should be ashamed of yourself for posting a picture of a murder serviceman that had his body desecrated by terrorists. This is for one against forum rules and two it shows how classless you are.

As for accusing Russia of being afraid of NATO thus not attacking Turkey. I hope you know that both Iran and Pakistan (non NATO countries) shot down Soviet grounds attack and utility aircraft and the Soviet Union did little in retaliation, not because they were not able to defeat both countries with ease but because there are consequences of being drawn into a costly war on multiple fronts in where money, resources and soldiers are diverted. Russia will not follow Turkey and act in a reckless way. If Turkey violates Syrian airspace they will likely get a taste of their own medicine.

The most British ordinary people don't support turkey. Only the government that gets bribed by rich gcc governments does. No one in the right mind would support turks. I mean, who would risk ww3 and suffering heavy casualties to help turkey turn Aleppo and Latakia into its 82nd province? Why would anyone back a country like turkey when it constantly stabs its allies in the back by support Isis. For example, Italian police recently stopped a large shipment of guns from turkey on its way to Belgium in an attempt by the turk to weaponize a terror cell to make Paris 2.0

Don't be emotional bro.:) Starting with your first point, Who told you its only Britain who is behind Turkey on this?lol I merely mentioned Britain on this thread because it relates to my country. Apart from Great Britain, the other two main powers in NATO i.e U.S and France have also offered messages of support to Turkey and its right to defend its sovereignty against Russian aggression. France and the U.S also told Russia to focus only on ISIS instead of violating Turkey's borders for no good reason and bombing other Syrian rebel groups fighting ISIS. lol

For your information Russia has been doing the same thing to several Balkan/eastern European and Scandinavian countries by violating their borders almost everyday, reason Britain, France and Germany have deployed soldiers and fighter jets to the the Balkans to defend against Russian aggression.

So stop acting like you are some sort of saint. lol Russia has been on an aggressive mood for a long time now under Putin to the point where even historically peaceful SCANDINAVIAN COUNTRIES are now bolstering their defence budgets and ties with NATO and Britain against Russian aggression/provocations.

As for your last point about violating Syrian airspace. well, using your logic then U.S,British and French fighters will also be shot down by Russia for violating Syrian airspace. lol Your fighters shouldn't be in Syria as well, but they are there doing their job and protecting your own country's interests(which i agree with), plus Syria is a country but in name as of now, since the country is mired in civil war with many rebel groups controlling their own territory. The government is there just in name, just like Somalia. lol So you cant compare it with a country like Turkey. Moreover the UNSC(including the P5, yes Russia included. lol) has already approved the world's major powers to intervene in Syria using 'all necessary means' . So any power presence/intervention in Syria is justified and legal. Violation of Syrian airspace in this case is null and void.:pop:

lol My Chinese friend, since when are a spokesman for ordinary British people? lol
I know you despise the Turks because of the Uygur issue and stuffs. But what we are discussing here is different from that issue altogether. lol

Anyway, as i said several times on this forum, a small proportion of people voicing their opinions online or forums/articles/news media has nothing to do with how countries all over the world carry out their foreign policy and forge alliances. :agree: If we were to use a small(or even large) proportion of public opinion to formulate a country's foreign policy then the world will be a totally difference place today and even the most strongest allies today will be enemies.:lol:For example i don't think China and Russia will even be partners to begin with, China will stop all relations, business and trade with the U.S, Vietnam and Japan, Russia will do the same with the U.S/E.U(though we already imposed sanctions ourselves. lol), India and Pakistan would have nuke each other long time ago, Malaysia will already be at war with Singapore, Mexico will take back its Texas from the U.S by all means necessary, Venezuela wouldn't be selling even one barrel of its oil to the evil U.S. etc etc. i can go on all day.

You say only our government bribed by GCC countries does? You mean your government follows your people/public opinion/views while forging their foreign policy and protecting your country's interests? Now coming from a Chinese that will be the funniest thing ever. Using your outdated delusional logic, why doesn't your government kick out all Japanese(or if you like Japs) companies/people in your country since quite a few number of Chinese people hate Japan and don't want anything to do with the 'evil' Japanese? Instead Japan is the largest foreign investor in your home country and many Japanese companies have a large presence in China lol etc. So before lecturing others, at least be sure your home country is better.:D

Geo politics , partnership/cooperation between countries has NOTHING AT ALL to do with how country forge their foreign policy and go about their business with other states, PERIOD. The public can whine as much as they want, but at the end of the day the decisions are made by the leaders/MPs.:pop:

I will keep it simple and to the point. While these countries "support" Turkey to defend their airspace those same countries violate the airspace of other countries on a daily basis.

NATO in general backs Turkey since its has been a full member since the 1950s. So it has full NATO backing, reason Russia didn't and wont retaliate. So Britain is not the only one supporting Turkey right to defend itself and its borders.

For your information Russia has been doing the same thing to several Balkan/eastern European and Scandinavian countries by violating their borders almost everyday, reason Britain, France and Germany have deployed soldiers and fighter jets to the the Balkans to defend against Russian aggression.

Turkey is the worst violator when it comes to intruding on other's airspace, Greece recorded over 1400 violations by the Turks and the year prior over 2000 violations. Moreover, Syria, Cyprus, and Iraq are all complaining about the Turks. Now to address your point about Russian violations. Many of those "violations" which the media spins is in international airspace but monitored by NATO. This is not to say that there or no violations but compared to NATO countries which are guilty of thousands of violations from Syria, to Libya, to Pakistan, Yemen, ect.

By your standards other countries need to also defend themselves against NATO aggression. Do you see a theme here? Maybe some shameless double standards?

As for your last point about violating Syrian airspace. well, using your logic then U.S,British and French fighters will also be shot down by Russia for violating Syrian airspace. lol Your fighters shouldn't be in Syria as well, but they are there doing their job and protecting your own country's interests(which i agree with), plus Syria is a country but in name as of now, since the country is mired in civil war with many rebel groups controlling their own territory.

Hey Sherlock, if you did some investigative work you would know that the Russian Air Force is the only air force that was invited in to Syria by the Syrian government, which is a member of the UN.

The government is there just in name, just like Somalia. lol So you cant compare it with a country like Turkey. Moreover the UNSC(including the P5, yes Russia included. lol) has already approved the world's major powers to intervene in Syria using 'all necessary means' . Really, the government is there just in name? The Syrian government is recognized by the UN. So your argument can be thrown in the trash--it's rubbish. Moreover, the coalition "airstrikes" AKA 'a joke' have been violating Syrian airspace for about a 1.5 years, the recent UN resolution was.....ahhhh resent. So by your own admission, NATO aircraft as well as those of gulf states have been violating Syrian airspace, but i will save the best for last--the following quote is from your source:

"Resolution 2249 does not provide any legal basis for military action and does not invoke chapter seven of the UN charter that authorises the use of force."

Might want to read your own sources next time because you committed a triple fail  Literally everything you have said is not only wrong, which i have proved but you are practicing double standards when it comes to violating the airspace of another country.

.
You all need to chill out. Russia is just making empty threats, i would like to see them even fire a single shot at Turkey unless they dont want the entire might of NATO fighting them. Putin is retarded, but not that retarded.

Just like all of NATO attacked Syria after Syria downed a Turkish jet right? Sooner or later Turkish aircraft will violate Syrian air space and if Russia chooses to retaliate, which many people in Russia want Turkish blood, NATO will do nothing especially since Turkey would be violating foreign air space, now take into account what Turkey did to the Russian bomber. Once Turkey breaches Syrian airspace they are fair game.

No one will start WW3 with a nuclear power over Turkey being stupid.
