Islamabad: Former Chief of Intelligence Bureau (IB) Brigadier (retired) Imtiaz Ahmed says Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) is being targeted because Pakistan Army is a hurdle in American agenda to create Indian supremacy in the region.

“America wants to make Pakistan Army controversial within its own country so that India could be benefited by having a chance to deepen its roots in Afghanistan,” Imtiaz told a local Urdu Daily Newspaper.

Imtiaz said United States wanted to create Indian supremacy by giving it access to oil reserves and it was not possible without making Pakistan Army weak.

He said limiting Pakistan’s nuclear ability, influence of China and Iranian military power were also included in American agenda.

He said that in the ARY program showcasing ISI as being number 1 in the world.

In 6-8 logon se ISI nahi tehri hue. ISI is intelligence of soldiers and devoted people who have sacrificed tremendously for the defense of country. If time has shown that a few of its retired generals were involved in corruption, we better do justice with them and make institution even better.

Okay, right or wrong that claim might be, but why should international geopolitical excuses like this be used to somehow justify massive corruption of purpose and gross abuses of power and authority to meddle in the political process and violate human rights within Pakistan?

Soldiers are made and groomed by the same men who rose to generals.

Apparently, you have no imagination of the relation ship of a soldier and officer.

People like you or your Khan cannot even dream to rose to the ranks by working hard.

Failed people just want to steal the glory using back door, of democracy!

We do not need a General to show us the mirror of democratic leaders of 90's.

It is well known that 90 was a lost decade and all security dpts. were used by the both political parties.

Many COAS resigned in this tussle while politicians managed to have a degree of success.

Nuclear proliferation by BB is another example of political meddling in security affairs, despite the fact that P.Musharraf have disclosed the role of BB in his book, no one is asking to court her grave!

when and how did he came to know that such resisting is taking place after pak army received the funds or before that?

United States stands defeated in afghanistan and all along they blamed Pakistan for their failures , in blaming Pakistan they actually meant Pakistan Army so its not that difficult to make out who is behind targetting Pakistan Army from different angles.

From Iftikhar Choudhry, you can expect justice. If somebody has reasons which forced him to act, he can present and win the case where he should. If your point is that love between soldiers and generals is the roadblock then Zardari may have few million more lovers than anybody under discussion at the moment. Does that mean Zardari shouldn't be touched and his crimes which in his opinion alone were to support country could be forgiven?

As a countrymen I am demanding and wanting justice - not punishment but justice and not more than what. If anybody has his reasons of doing that corruption or breaching of law, he can present in the court and win the case.

Its saying of Holy Prophet that those Nations got destroyed who had different rules for the powerful and others for the poor. I hope sense would prevail and to survive as a Nation, we would have to agree that justice is the way to go and not degree of love and relevant love for a person or character.
