Excluding our Iron brother China and Russia, these lists of below countries, I don’t think provide any legatee to the whole group in the following terms to the BRICS, after my little research which is following, as mainly this group is balanced mostly by our iron brother China and Russia.

"O'Neill argued that China is the only BRIC nation worthy of that title of supporting all nations in this group"

Many countries fronting similar challenges in elating large populations of poor and protecting their environments their economies have been slowing.

South Africa:
With its credit rating soaring near junk status in recent months, South Africa's hesitant economy is headed for more distress as the country's finance minister answers charges of fraud and its currency remains unstable.

The country's finance ministry has said the legal proceedings will damage "the economic well-being of South Africans and essential processes of government."

South Africa's economy, by far the smallest among the BRICS, was estimated at $327 billion in 2015, while unemployment among its population of 55 million is at a daunting rate of about 23 percent.

Still, South Africa's vast mineral wealth makes it a valuable ally to the other major developing nations.

There has been little word of what its president, Jacob Zuma, may be hoping for from the summit.

Brazil’s:

Brazil's recovery is crucial to South America's economic future. But the country of 206 million people relies heavily on prices of oil, soy and other commodities, which have plunged.

Since taking over the national leadership from Dilma Rousseff, after she was removed amid allegations of misusing funds, President Michel Temer has made changes that already are cheering markets: The real has started strengthening against the dollar, after plunging in recent years.

So, Brazil don't need BRICS as relations with South America's already mentioned, means good relations with western countries.

India:

Modi chose development as the BRICS summit's main goals. But it also has the world's highest number of people in poverty. And India's loans from the World Bank stand at $104 billion (IBRD – $54 billion and IDA – $50 billion) as on December 31, 2015. Of this, the World Bank has disbursed $73 billion, with India repaying $37 billion. So, how much it has to offer or contributing to that group?

India for its own strategic interests would not want to see an emboldened Russia or China become too dominant in the BRICS

Waiting for annotations from your side.

Thanks.
