That would be like me going to Israeli forum - supporting the Palestinians and then saying "nobody believes Israeli sources". That would be nothing short of blowing smoke up a asthmatic's nose and then expecting to make any impress on said asthmatic.

I've met quite a few Israelis in my life and the truth is that most of them were polite to me and didn't say anything bad about Pakistan (at least in my presence). We definitely do not support each other but at least at individual level we don't have enmities. We have ideological differences which is at a whole different level.

Am I not providing a service by letting Pakistanis know how their complaints about the LoC are received? I'm sure there's room for improvement. I imagine best way would be to show India up by admitting more U.N. observers without preconditions from India. Probably get U.S. support, too.

I've met quite a few Israelis

I met many as well. I did law at Buckingham University which offers a two year graduate course. It had lots of Israelis because I think they serve 1 year with IDF so they were attracted to it's two year accelerated course making up for time lost. I can't say I had any problem. I become quite friendly with a few. Personally I have no problem with Jews or Israeli even at ideological level because I cannot see any contradiction with being Pakistan and Israel.

If I had it my way I would reciognize Israel tommorow. The Israeli/Palestinian struggle is not about religion or some other fundamental idealogy. We know Christian Palestinian are equally against Israel as Muslim Palestinian. A good example is George Habash. Therefore this is not a war between Judaism and Islam like some mullahs want to peddle.

To my eyes Israel is just the last European colonial project like America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. A particularly brutal European problem - the inability of Jews and Christians of Europe to live together in peace which reached it's climax in the Nazi Final solution was exported to West Asia. It's like you have a difficult brother and you send him off to another village so your problem is sorted out.

However I accept today Israel is a reality. The only thing that rankles me is the racism and the continous fraud that we are expected to swallow. If Israelis say "okay we did wrong in 1948. We suffered thanks to Germans but we extracted our revenge out of poor Palestinians simpty because the Germans were too strong for us so we found a weaker people to kick around. But today we want to make peace and find a viable solution". That would be okay.

However when I see people trying to fudge facts and make the Palestininians the bad guys that I find annoying. However from purely a functional point of view I think we need to make up with Israel. Most Palestinians don't give two hoots about Pakistan and have been traditionally pro India.
