BREAKING! Gold just hit all time high! What's going on?

We can switch to the gold standard tomorrow. the world would be in a fierce recession for a couple of decades
no one wants that - including detractors of USA - China, Iran or Pakistan

Whatever might be, this unlimited money printing press called Federal reserve has to be unfolded. You cant keep on printing money infinitely to paper over your internal mess and expect world to use your currency as reserve. Perhaps a parallel ,value based economic system would be a better option. Those who want to stay in this dollar based system can remain in there, those who are tired of it should have an alternate option.
