After Army's role in dismissing constitutionally elected IK's govt on US and west behest, they can't be trusted. It's a diplomatic statement after seeing public anger. They underestimated people's response and made a big strategic blunder. They need to announce election straightaway and avoid any other misadventure against IK.

PTI will not take 2/3 majority, SS/NS has been brought in to rig elections, they will have their own presiding officers, own ECP folks and Bureacrats, sorry Imran will be given 1/5th if this deserved seats in National assembly. This is all planned if PTI is not banned in foreign funding case.
There will be an outcry and people will be on the streets if this happens.

Army establishment is seriously confused now and they know they have made a mistake. When people came on to streets last Sunday after just one tweet by IK, it changed the scenario.

The way thin
So, how would this work, would the newly elected PTI member resign or keep their seat?
The way things are going he may be have a seat in prison.

Masters of diplomacy -Pakistan army. Pakistan army should shoot any politician who undermines the integrity and sovereignty of Pakistan.

He should ask his MNA to resign after taking oath

Contest by election on all 123 seats and then resign demanding for fresh election

It will build the momentum and force opposition to go for election unless they somehow prolong the existing resignations submitted by raising technical objection
