Civil war in Afghanistan (1992–96) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

According to Peter Tomsen, the United States Special Envoy to Afghanistan, neighboring Pakistan had tried to install Hekmatyar in power in Afghanistan against the opposition of all other mujahideen commanders and factions as early as 1990. In October 1990, the Inter-Services Intelligence had devised a plan for Hekmatyar to conduct a mass bombardment of the Afghan capital Kabul, then still under communist rule, with possible Pakistani troop enforcements. This unilateral ISI-Hekmatyar plan came although the thirty most important mujahideen commanders had agreed on holding a conference inclusive of all Afghan groups to decide on a common future strategy. Tomsen reported that the protest by the other mujahideen commanders was like a "firestorm". Ahmad Zia Massoud, the brother of Ahmad Shah Massoud, said that his faction strongly opposed the plan and like other factions would take measures if any "Pakistani troops reinforced Hekmatyar". Abdul Haq was reportedly so angry about the ISI plan that he was "red in the face". Nabi Mohammad, another commander, pointed out that "Kabul's 2 million could not escape Hekmatyar's rocket bombardment – there would be a massacre." Massoud's, Abdul Haq's and Amin Wardak's representatives said that "Hekmatyar's rocketing of Kabul ... would produce a civilian bloodbath."The United States finally put pressure on Pakistan to stop the 1990 plan, which was subsequently called off until 1992.

I have been saying throw these Afghans out of Pakistan who live in bungalows in Islamabad.

Not just Islamabad but Karachi too. In-fact I was unlucky enough to have Afghan neighbours who were smugglers and drug traffickers.

PS they hated Pakistan to the guts.

You can thank Pakistan Army and ISI's support of Talibans for this attitude !
why on every thread you support afghan irrespective of they are anti Pakistani or terrorist sympathizer ? you bash ISI and army in every thread just check your previous posts. if you are afghani and living in Pakistan or what ? plz clarify

Another chair needed in the torture cell and more pliers please .... Torture then until they spill everything and kill them and throw them in an unmarked grave along with that raw agent.

As for the expulsion of Afghans, after 40 years Pakistan just can't afford throwing money and resources to the people of the nation who literally calls war on us. Its time to call it quits with them. It has been too long and its time they return to the country they have loyalty with and call it their own. Afghans must go back home. I am sorry but we can't wait fke Afghanistan to become a developed nation before returning them.

The problems in Afghanistan will last a very long time considering the blame game and non serious attitude of the Afghan govt. We just can't pay for those refugees anymore.

This is what you get when refugees are not deported from Pakistan. It is a easy place for foreign agents to hide, operate freely & make a puppet team to spread terrorism in Pakistan. Deport all refugees from Pakistan, there should be no further delay as they are a automatic threat to National Security & we have seen it in the past.
