There are other long running conflicts in the world. The palestinians in Gaza made the choice to elect a terrorist group which vows to destroy Israel.

Israel in return then had the right to close its border with Gaza after this terrorist group came to power and murdered all of their rivals. They have no duty to keep it open, just as the Egyptians also close their border with Gaza.

As for the pogroms, do you think they predicted the future that there would be demonstrations in Gaza, and therefore, for the Ukrainians, for example, was it very important to massacre the Jews?
