Boycott of Chinese goods: China warns of impact on India-bound investments

commies cannot think beyond what has been indoctrinated.
:D :D :D
Funny!

Some smart Indians are thinking. One rational mind is better than one million talking mouths.

With the state of Indian current manufacturing industries, where 80-90% are engaged in so called "informal sector", India has a very long way to go to be somewhat competitive to Chinese imports. When you prided yourself as "IT Superpower" or "Office of the world" 10-15 years ago, you should have foreseen what was coming. Now Southeast countries are picking up the low end manufacturing transferred out of China, India again finds itself missing the boat. Too bad!
Oh, Indians love to run before they can learn to crawl.
Similarly as to how they wanted the Mars mission before placing a man in space.
What can one say? Indians after all.

one million talking mouths.

India's MOM was a political success, but it doesn't have any scientific or technological value whatsoever. It is a "me too" project designed to arouse the patriotism and earn the bragging right for a country with 1.3 billion, which prides itself of being bracketed with China in one breath, yet under the shadow of later for such a long time. Every other PDF Indian will bring up MOM success, or "democracy" for that matter, when compared to numerous China's success: "At least we have MOM"!

India may not have a working plan towards their long term vision, but they do have countless talking heads with very big mouth. As for their Maned Space flight, those talking heads told their masses it would happen in 2015, and maned moon landing in 2020. Nobody took them seriously but themselves.

The country is run by talkers, not doers.

Ok, sir did anyone of your mars mission succeeded ? Bark when it does, we are not a nation run by some 25 goons and the so called "Meritocracy" cum Communist govt.

What is life of a millionaire if he/she can't even express their feeling to the govt, at least a person below poverty line can speak against the Govt not only in India but Pakistan as well.

And then the Chinese come up with their own version of the great Chinese civilization, it is actually the shiitiest period of Han civilization where the people are not even allowed to speak against their govt.

Yes, we bring "Democracy" everywhere and we will because a middle class Indian has got more rights than a millionaire Chinese.

Years ago I was really concerned if Chinese government is foolish enough to help Indians to build infrastructure by using Chinese money. Let the proudly Indians live in their lifestyle and imagined greatness.

MOM payload is only 13 kg, and completely rely on NASA for deep space communication and Mars orbit capture, but Indians brag about it all the time. U don't hear about Chinese bragging soft landing on the moon, manned space flight, space station etc.. In next few days long march 5 will have a maiden flight with LEO payload 25t, while India is pathetic only have 3t, up to today they still rely on foreigners to send communication satellites.

It was a low cost confidence booster, and it did a wonderful job on that. $70 millions buys unlimited bragging right for so many, it is a good deal. Their GSLV-MK3 has been delayed for 7 years, and nobody talks about maned space flight or moon landing anymore, ISRO needs something to show to public. MOM was a good choice for that purpose. It was exceptional among Indian projects, as it actually launched according to the schedule!

NASA helped them for political reason.

Yes, basically Indian sent a small satellite to low earth orbit and nasa guided it all the way to Mars. The rumored NASA shut down really got ISRO worried. US would help any country that has bad term with China.

They are always desperately finding something to be proud about

Beijing: China on Thursday sharply criticised calls for boycott of Chinese goods in India, saying it can only satisfy "personal vendettas" of some politicians at the cost of close bilateral ties and called on India to take measures to minimise any "repercussions".

The products that China exports to India fulfill the needs of the local market, Shen Danyang, the spokesperson for China's Ministry of Commerce was quoted as saying by state-run People's Daily online.

"Thus, a boycott of Chinese products would only satisfy some politicians' personal vendettas at the cost of close ties between the two countries," he said.

As two rapidly growing economies, China and India must cooperate on economy and trade, he said.

"China hopes India will take the necessary actions to minimise any repercussions of this incident for the mutual benefit of both nations," he said.

Shen pointed out that China and India are each other’s major trade partners.

By 2015, the total trade volume between the two countries had reached USD 71.62 billion, indicating that trade between China and India was increasing despite downward pressure from global trade.

Bilateral trade added up to USD 52.31 billion between January and September 2016, which indicates that the momentum is being maintained, he said.

Calls for boycotting Chinese goods in India were made following China's opposition to a UN ban on JeM chief Masood Azhar and India’s entry into Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG).
