Bollywood Movie 'Race 3' beats other films at the box office record in Pakistan

It is undeniable fact that Indian movies are as ubiquitous to Pakistan as the use of "alhamdulillah" by Pakistani's. I have even noted that in military familes often the females watch Bollywood movies. Indian Bolly songs blare from every bus/car. Bolly movie heroes are closely emulated by millions of Pakistani's.

The influence of Bolly movies has been all conquering. They have seeped into everything. Our weddings, clothing style now just tend to be cheap, trashy rip off of some Bolly movie. Pakistan is probably the second largest market for Bolly movies and more Pakistani's watch Hindi movies then South Indian's do. I stand to be corrected on that one.

These are facts and it does no good for me or others to deny them. It merely reduces our credibility. What is obvious cannot be hidden. @Karna_007

They will watch it even if its rubbish as no much option for them ..They don't watch it because its Indian content . Tamil, Begali, Guajrai, malyalam , Telgue are also Indian contents( probably better than Bollywood) but how many Pakistani watch them?

Well I understand that bro but it doesn't explain the attraction the youth have to it, who do speak English and should in theory be more globalised. I honestly think people see similarities beyond language, but hey it is what it is.

Local cinema emerges victorious over Eid holidays despite 'Race 3' release

Bollywood film Race 3 managed to earn around Rs55 million in Pakistan. Local distributors are nonetheless satisfied with the revenue from local films currently playing in cinemas and do not see the success of Indian releases as a threat. Nine days after Eid, the business of Pakistani films is booming and local films are doing pretty well, even in the presence of Race 3 and Hollywood films like Oceans 8 and Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom.

According to distributors, Pakistani films such as 7 Din Mohabbat In have topped the charts ever since its release, with a revenue of about Rs90 million up to date. Wajood rounded up around Rs30 million while Azaadi have earned around Rs84 million.
